I'ma making like a tree

Oh, Wissahickon, I love you. No more woodsy state parks for me for a while though... I'm moving to New York City tomorrow morning.

People keep asking me why, and I'm not really sure. It's just because I want to. There's no job or family or sure purpose there but maybe there could be and I've never lived there before.

Also, I need new surroundings and situations regularly to be productive at all; note the lack of updates to this blog. This is partially due to the lack of a scanner but mostly a general lack of aim and drive for anything in the past few months but shenanigans, actually being social and getting "healthy".

This place has been the home-est place I lived in a long time and I am very grateful to my good friend Mike for giving me a place to stay until I make it to New York, and it's time to move on. It's good to be young, out of school and free.

  1. There are plenty of oppurnities that are in New York as an Illustrator in their early career years that you couldnt get while living in Kansas sending mailers and making phones calls. Like face to face meetings. I know you want to do personal comics but you dont what could happen. You might get editorial gigs, book jackets, or who knows.....

Just glad to be moving in with ya.
